um... I have obtained a new roo for my single Black Copper Marans hen... and he is 4 mo old now, and so ready to get into a coop and out of my bathroom!
I didn't want to put him in the other coop, as there is a roo in there, with the other three hens, all of them are Welsummers...
so we finished the new coop, and put him in, and her in... and she HATES him!
omg...
is there a trick to this?
she flies after him and claws or pecks him... he runs and is so scared! she is WAY bigger than him weight wise... and he is so sweet, really a pet...
they have a big rock in their run, and I sat in there with them, and he kept coming to sit on my lap... :-(
she went in the hen house (which is PLENTY big, 4ft x 4 ft, four nesting boxes on the edge of that... ) to go night night, but he stayed outside on the roost in the far corner...
so, we brought him back into his crate for the night...
he's back out this morning...
so, what should I do? will she ever decide he is ok? and well, she better LIKE him, as he's to be her husband! ugh...
thanks in advance!

Best to create some type of divider so she can get used to him without being able to harm him. Once he's closer to her size, you can try to introduce them again, but at that point he'll need to man up to keep from getting his butt kicked.
