Introducing baby chicks to older hens

What would happen if I introduced baby chicks to a group of 8 older hens (no rooster) - would they accept them or not? I would like to phase in the next generation as my hens are getting older but certainly do not want any chicks to suffer if they are not accepted.

I am dealing with this same delima I chose to have my broody hen hatch them so the new babies would possibly fit in a lil easier. If u do not have a broody It is hard to say I had 3 mon olds and bought 4 older hens and they mixed fine but the older girls were new to the place to so I think that helped them.
