Introducing chickens to new coop

Hi,
I finished building my dream coop and now it's ready for chickens! So far for the last month (during construction) the chicken could go check it out in there run. But now I want them to actually live in there now.

Any tip on to making them feel at home? Thanks!

When we finished Neuchickenstein last fall we waited until after dark then carried all the chickens to the new coop and put them on the roosts.

Then I left them locked in for a week while they got used to it before letting them into their run. It helped that they couldn't see their old homes from their new run.

They all settled in nicely! And now only 2 are running back to their old coop at night.

Lock up the old coop and run so they don't have access.

I did, but these two are good at escaping and getting back in there.

Than you have work to do. The new coop and run isn't secure.
If they can escape, predators can get in.

They free range or they stay in their coop. Their coop is secure I just don't
have a run.
