Hello,
I have two hens now, a Barred rock and a Wellsummer, they are both very friendly and not aggressive at all. I have decided that it's time to get some more chickens. I want to get 4 female chicks, (1 Easter Egger, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 1 Silver laced Wyandotte). How would I introduce the hens to the chicks? What would be a good age that I let the chicks meet them? If the hens like the chicks, can I just let the chicks hang out with the hens? I have never had chicks and hens at the same time so this is a first.

It would be good to keep them in separate housing until they get around the same size. Before that, it's a good idea to let them interact when they're free ranging so that they can get used to each other. Then when they're older, they can be together full-time! Good luck!
