Hello y’all. First off have 26 chickens, many varieties. 4 roosters. So I have let 3 of my chickens go broody. We have our first chick today. Question how do I keep the from falling out the nest. It’s about 3 ft off floor. Should I drop it to the floor and let the momma finish hatching the other 3. I put pine shavings on the floor but if it falls out it would be on its own with the rest of the flock. Then feeding and watering needs to change too correct. The are free ranged too. So will the chicks follow momma and eat what she tells them.
