I have (6) 9-month old guinea hens (4 male, 2 female) and in 6-8 weeks will have chickens that are ready to go into the coop/run with them. One of my male guinea hens in particular I am concerned about as he definitely bullies my female guinea hens.
Since my chickens will be just about 2 months old when I put them into the coop, do you think I need to worry about my guinea hens killing them? I read a tip to introduce them by keeping them in their own enclosed portion of the run first, but I have no way of doing that as my coop is directly attached to the run. I also can't leave any out of the enclosure because eagles kill them immediately.
Has anyone successfully introduced chickens to guinea fowl that are 9 months or roughly 1 year old? Or does anyone have any tips for me that dont include buying/building a completely different enclosure?
