Introducing Chicks with Hens

I am getting some Golden Comet chicks and already have 6 ISA Browns - at what age should/could I put the chicks in the coop - our weather will be at least 50 at night...thx

I'd put them in the coop. How old are they?

I wouldn't put them in with adult birds until they are at least 16 wks old.

My ISA Browns are a little over 1 year old - new to me about 3 months ago - sounds like i will wait until they are about 16 wks old to introduce the younger girls - thanks.

Bullying of younger chicks often results in horrible maiming and sometimes death. Even when they are raised by a hen, interaction with other birds is hazardous.
