I know that u can't mix a flock of hens to an established flock. But can you introduce chicks? Will they be rejected or possibly killed like adults? Or will the mother instinct take over? If they can be introduced, what age should they be? Thanks for any suggestions for this rookie.

the chicks have tobe close to the size of the hens.an they need tobe in a pen in the henhouse for 2wks or so.so the older hens can see an get used to them.then when you introduce them do it at nite.itll cut down on the fights.an also give the new chicks a place to hide from the old hens.
