Introducing chicks

Ok so I was just given 5 baby silkie chicks. Not to quite sure on the age but I would say 6-7 weeks. The problem I have is introducing them to my other 2 silkies that are 3 1/2 months old. When is a good age and how? Any words of wisdome would be great thanks!!

I would wait until they are full feathered to put them outside with the older birds. Silkies are a little different than most chickens because they tend to be very kind. I always put my young birds in with my older Silkie because she is not mean to them. Once they are fully feathered you might want to try putting them all together in a very supervised environment and see how they react.

If their is too much pecking then wait until the birds are more the same size physically.
