introducing different ages?

I have three mallards that are around 12 weeks old, and two that are around 4-5 weeks old. When can I put them all together?

You can give it a try now. Mine all get along at different ages. Watch them for a while and check on them often at first. I think they should be fine together.

I had two groups with about the same age difference. You should be safe to put them together when they are 8 weeks old. For now you can try. I let mine together when they were younger. They acted like two groups and occasionally the older ones would go and chase the little ones around. That is fine as long as there is no biting going on. It will get better in time. Best for now is to make sure they can get close to each other at all times, if you want to wait or have to wait. Perhaps a temporary fence in between. I had mine separated like that in the beginning and even had the duck house divided. Now they are 3 and 4 months old and just hang around together all the time. They have become one flock.

I put my 3 week old Muscovies in with some 15 week old Muscovies and the older ones seem to look after the younger ones. At 4 weeks I put all of them back in with the chickens and last night the little buggers slept with 3 - 13 week old cockerels.
