Hello
I have 1 Peking duck that hatched a little over 5 days ago and was wondering eventually when it’s a few weeks older I want to add it to my cousins farm which she has a few adult Peking ducks already. Any tips on introducing ducklings to adult ducks?

You’ll want to start with a “see, no touch” area, where the duckling and adults can see each other through a fence but not actually get to each other.

Keep that up for a few days / a week, or until baby is at least 1 month old, and then put them in a big, open space together. Watch how they behave. Chasing is okay, but biting is not.

Continue to let them run around together every day, still watching close, separating if needed or when you can’t watch them. Let baby sleep next to the adults in a crate over night. Ideally, they should get along by the time baby is fully feathered.
