Introducing friend to lone chick

hello!! i recently took on a chick (brahma?) and raised her alone for a few days as i was unable to get her a friend quite yet. today, i introduced a rhode island white chicken i was able to find at a local feed store and she has zero interest!! my brahma still screams and attempts to fly out the brooder while the little buddy is sleeping. should this pass? did i make a mistake?

is it too stressful to let her cry it out? i live on a farm so i dont mind the noise but i dont want her to suffer when thats the whole reason i got her little friend (i intended on only keeping brahmas when i ended up with her but i couldnt handle her being lonely while i waited for my feed store to ship)
