Hello there!

I had just adopted 3 hens and would love some tips to introduce them to my established flock.
Right now I have 3 Isa browns, 2 bantom roosters, and a bantom hen (whom is separated from the rest since she is nesting on two eggs)

I have the new hens coop in their run so they can get to know one another through the chicken wire. And let them out once a day all together as a supervised activity.

And Ive read this takes time. My 3 established Isa browns are very affectionate towards me so I make sure when they are all together I give them attention. But I also give the new hens attention so they can feel comfortable and secure with me.

But what has worked for you in the past? They are all 9-10 months in age so their age difference is almost the same.

Now that the day has ended, I let them out together a few times and 2 of my 3 Isa hens fought with the others and pulled some feathers out.

Is this something I should just "let them sort out.?" Because both times I put my hands in the middle to separate them.

Let them out . They have to establish pecking order. At this point I put a lot of obstacles around so they can get away. I think that helps the most.

I tried that today and the new biggest one got my biggest established one and made her waddles bleed a little bit.

Shes fine but im so used to splitting up two little bantom roosters, splitting up 2 large hens was a task. it was like Godzilla vs Mothra lol!
