I am new to raising chickens, but not new to them. LOL My family on both sides have raised chickens for years. But it has been a while since I have been around them, so I consider myself new to them. LOL
We have 17 chickens and 4 guinea's. We have Barred Rock and Astralorps. We wanted some that would be more on the tame side.
I learned about BYC's from a friend and then hubby signed up. He is always telling me things from here, so I decided to sign up myself. LOL
I have a lot of hobbies. I paint, I sew, I bake, I cook, I do woodburning, I read, I like to try lots of new things. I just learned how to can food. I made 55 jars of pickles. I also put up 26 quart bags of corn. This is new to me, so I really hope they turned out! LOL
Hubby and I have been married for almost 23 years (Nov). We have 4 kids, his son, my daughter and 2 daughters together. we have 6 grandkids and one more due in March. We also have 2 dogs and a pig.
