introducing my 3 new chicks

Decided to give chick-raising a try. I got 3 "red pullets" from the TSC. I actually am not sure what kind they will be, but was promised they would all be girls. Red star maybe? There were a few breeds listed on the info card, but my head was really spinning by the time I left I forget which name was highlighted.

They have grown so much already in one weeks time. I'm really enjoying the process and am relieved this is easier than I imagined it would be, thanks to all the great information found here!

I've already had to upsize their home, as my son found them this morning outside of the box they had been living in. So, bigger box and a screen on top!

Very cute!!! My girls started doing the last pic so i upgraded their brooder...and then they got mad at me I think!
same! they really seemed flustered by the extra space :) I'm sure they will grow into it in no time.
 
I put some plant netting, used to keep birds from eating the fruit, on top of my brooder, sealed with some clothes pins. That keeps them in!
