I just picked up my second batch of lavenders yesterday! They hatched Wednesday and are the cutest little fuzzballs!

Wondering what's going on :)

Having breakfast at 4:30 this morning.

i've been looking for those around here!! i'm not planning on getting anymore till next spring, but i want to add at least 1 of those :)

I bought 2 initially from a local breeder and the pullet is extremely shy and a spaz. We got them at 2wks old and I don't think they were handled much. The roo, which I can't keep, is friendly but because they are so bonded I'm selling them as a pair soon. They're almost 9wks old. I'm hoping to get 2-3 pullets out of this batch of 5. So far they are friendly and they love when I reach in the brooder with treats!

I am looking for some close too but the closest to me was some hours away. LOve to have just a couple chicks that would be hens.SOO PRETTY!

I'm lucky the lady I got them from is only about 30 minutes from me. These guys are 5th generation Hink-jc lavenders and will breed true, if I ever breed them. They have the sweetest faces and love to cuddle with me on the couch. Can't wait to get home to spend some time with them!

Here's a picture of the 2 that are going to be 9wks old in a couple of days (along with one of my buffs wondering what all the flashing lights were):

I took this when they were 6 1/2wks old. I need to take a new picture of them. They are absolutely beautiful! Love my lavenders :)

Lavender Orpintons...beautiful birds, very cool.

I have never seen them in my area, but by next spring I'll be the in the market for a pair of hens.

Hello, new to the forum. I have 4 straight run lavenders (5 wks) from the Greenfire line and looks like I have a couple hens. Just wondering what the breeding history is on your f5 Hink JC chicks. Would love to see some pictures of them and the parents. I am looking for any info on a healthy line that offers a true bred split black hen and roo orpinton.
Thrilled to join the forum
