Hello i have a adult male Cayuga looking to move him outside and get a friend for him. I was looking to get a pekin for him will they be ok and what gender should i get?

I suggest a hen, maybe even two if thee hens would probably be your best choice.

Welcome to BYC! For a drake the ratio should be at least 3 females. For the females safety.

Pekins are a good choice! The cayuga drake will be a little bit smaller than the pekin hens and they might not get as beat up by him

Pekins are always my first choice tho
