Hi
I got my 4 bantams yesterday so i thought I'd introduce them (and me)

The blue one is called Indigo Star, the white one is Arla Milk, the millefluere is Jaffa Cake and the Silver Partridge is Silver Stevie. Currently they are all very flighty and not keen on being handled but will get used to it with time.
My name is Mo and I have had chickens before but i was scared of them back then and didn't really help my family take care of them.
 
Welcome to Backyard Chickens. The way to a chicken's heart is through their stomach.
Sit with them and have treats around you. They will gradually come closer to eat them. As they are getting more and more accustomed to you - start offering their favorites like mealworms (:sick) in your hand. You'd be surprised how fast you become their favorite human.

You can also come out to the flock rattling goodies in a can( maybe black oil sunflower seeds.That way they learn the sound( you are coming) and the reward (good treats). Expect to be mobbed.
