introducing my self

Hey All, My name is Jennavee.. I live in SE TN. I raised chickens with my aunt as a kid growing up in New Hampshire but it was strictly RIRs. Im truly amazed at all the different breeds and how big the chicken world is lol. So I got back into chickens last March when I was given a game pair. It was a fluke but I fell in love with the rooster and decided he needed some ladies. I went and got 7 ISA browns. I love them. They're chatty, bossy, funny and great layers. Labor day wknd I went to SC for a visit with my dad and came back with 15 babies. They were supposed to be sexed, and the breeds were supposed to be Black Jersey Giants, Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandotts and 2 Buff Orps. So the buffs turned out to be meat birds. I was only supposed to get 1 boy..Barred Rock, and the rest all girls. I now have 2 boys, 2 girls of BJG, 3 boys 1 girl BR, 2 boys 2 girls of what is supposed to be SLW but clearly is not. I'm being told they are BR but as chicks, they were totally different. Im hoping to get some answers to the breed here as well as the million other questions Im sure I will have in the future. Welcome to Backyard Chickens Jennavee. You many others share your story- wrong breeds, wrong gender etc. I know it's after the fact but, you can post photos of your birds at "what breed or gender is this," and get them sorted out. Please mention age at time of photo - very important.
