Hi...just want to introduce myself and say "Thank you guys!" for all you recent help. I always have questions about something and I know where I can go to get the help. Had buff orpingtons and australorps a few years, sold out but missed them a lot. They were so entertaining we would get our lawn chairs in the evening to set watch them for a while.
Now I have approximately 50...mostly black sex link, 5 barred rock, 4 white leghorns, and 8 SL Wyandottes plus 11 chicks (my fav). Hubby just built me an awesome chicken tractor for bantams...a Partridge Cochin hen arriving tonight and have ordered 15 partridge chicks. Cant wait!
Once when I Googled a question, BackYard Chickens website popped. From then on it had a Favorite button on my toolbar.
Besides the chickens, I quilt, knit, crochet, and make twined rugs to sell. Hubby & I (both retired) live on 40 acres which is another "job" in itself. We have 3 married children, 5 grandkids, 1 dog, 1 cat, and 50 (soon to be 65) happy healthy chickens.
