Hello! My name is Summer. I grew up in the city, without any real care for chickens. After moving to a homestead and adopting chickens, that has done a full 180.
We soon raised 4 more from a couple days old and now have a total of 6 hens and 1 rooster.
I enjoy spoiling them and spending time with them. We built a coop and run, with some fun roosting bars and different things but they still prefer to free range. We let them free range our property most days and they love when they are let into the garden. They’re such helpful gardeners.
I’ve been reading the posts on here for quite a while and have gotten SO MUCH from this forum and am happy to finally join and participate.
