Introducing Myself

Hello! When it comes to purchasing chicks this spring, I've been struggling to find hatcheries (local or shipping) that have Females in stock before June or something crazy. If you don't care about how soon they would arrive, then https://valleyhatchery.com/ and https://meyerhatchery.com/products/chickens are good places to look. I have been poking around Tractor Supply and my local Farm and Feed to try to get chicks (i'm hoping to get some this Wednesday).
Anyway, hope that helps!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
What size is your coop? Chickens need 4 sq ft, one linear ft and is close to 1 sq ft of permanently opened ventilation per bird in the coop.
Did you also build a predator proof run attached to the coop?
You can get chicks at most farm stores that offer them in the spring and fall. Chick Days should be starting any day now.
