I find myself with one very lonely golden comet since her two sisters passed on...one from a predator, the other an internal layer. The "lone ranger" isn't happy so I'm getting two birds in a few weeks...about 17 weeks. Any ideas on good ways to introduce them all?

when i get new pullets i put them in a separate part of my chicken enclousure. tin is put up on one side of the fenced are but can see other chickens at the other end. after a few weeks i might let them out dependending if the older chooks atack at first sight if not i leave them alone and defend by hiding somewhere in their original place. after a while they get use to it and it is :cool:happily ever after.

put the new ones in a smaller see through pen for a few days. Put the see through pen inside the coop/pen with all the others. this way they can see and talk to each other...but no one gets hurt

they should eventually get used to each other by doing this.
