Introducing new birds

Just wondering if time of day has anything to do with how new birds are accepted by the flock. I have added new birds to my flock and for several days they tend to fight until the pecking order is established. My son has always added new birds at night and has never had any fights. Anyone have any opinions or experience?

I would like to know if someone could answer your question.

I have 9 two week olds that will be going to the coop in a couple of weeks. I would also like to know how to introduct them to my current flock that is about 11 to 12 weeks older than the new ones.

You might want to wait awhile before you introduce the new chicks until they are approximately the same size. A friend had a similar situation to yours and flock killed the new birds in a matter of hours.
