im getting my first 2 chickens from a live poultry market because i want to rescue them from the tiny cages covered in poop that the place keeps them in. when i bring them home how long should i keep them quarantined? i have 2 large dog cages that they could stay until i know they are healthy, would that be alright for them until they move in to the coop i built? Should they both be together in the cage or each have separate cages? Is it best to give them a bath or will they be way to nervous?
ok i know you guys are gonna say dont buy them because they will be filled with diseases, but i would much rather rescue a chicken then buy it from a breeder or hatchery
