Hi! I’m new at this, both the website and chicken raising. (I started 2wks ago.)
We just got a good many Hyline brown pullets that are currently 18wks old. 3 days ago, we got four 11 week old Barred Plymouth Rocks. We tried to put them in with the others to see how they would react, and the browns did something close to mobbing them. They ganged up on them. Thankfully, their beaks are trimmed so they can’t really cause really bleeding, but the little ones freaked out. The Rocks have untrimmed beaks, but they are not courageous enough to use them. Also, with 15 coming on at them it’s sort of a lot.
How do I get them to like each other or not fight?
