Hello I have 5 young chickens(About 15-18 weeks old) and I need to introduce them to the rest of flock in the coup. Currently the 5 young chickens reside in a large dog crate within the chicken run(2 and a half weeks) so the other chickens can become familiar with them. The dog crate is enclosed and the other chickens cant get in. I usually introduce you chickens to the other chickens at night but in this case I am not sure. I have a rooster in the current flock and I am not sure how to introduce them. Do I follow my usual method by introducing at night?

I would never do it at night. Your young birds are actually quite old, so it may take longer to get them all together peacefully. I would try supervised mingling and see how it goes. That will give you an idea on how to proceed based on any amount of aggression you see.
