Hello, I was wondering how everyone introduces new guineas to their flock.
I have 7 guineas a little over a year old and I'm thinking about getting around 6 7-10 weeks old. Can I just put them in with my guineas? (Mine aren't free ranging right now.) Or do I have to separate them?

From everything I have gathered. Just introducing them all at one fell swoop would be disastrous. I can't advise how to, but I can tell you putting in young ones with older ones who have never met is bad.

They will need another coop. Put them in there for a few weeks and don't let them go or they will run away. Then let them free range when you're watching them I'm not sure how long after you get them depending on how tame they are. Chances are if you buy them at that age they're pretty wild. Sorry I don't know how long to coop them up for but when you let them out the older guineas will chase them. The young ones will be scared so I would recommend stopping the older guineas from chasing them too much. But they will gradually fit into each other's pecking orders and when the young guineas grow up they will rebel against the adult guineas.
