I love roos, too.

It is good that you have the chicks in a separate enclosure within the coop, but you might have to keep them separate for a while - probably more than a month. That might mean finding a way to divide the coop area and/or run area once the chicks need more room.

I hope your husband grows to appreciate the chickens. At the very least, I hope he likes fresh eggs.

If he doesn't like the rooster crowing in the morning, get a little Truair air filter, a little box fan or anything that makes white noise to drown out any crowing.
