I need to set up a separate section in my coop/run for my new girls. Do I need to have a top on the new section or can I just divide an area with chicken wire to keep them separated for a few weeks. I am worried that the my big girls will fly in or the little ones will fly out and not be able to get back in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I use a dog kennel so they don't get at each other if they can get up on a roost they can surely get over a fence. Better safe than sorry!
Thank you, I wish my dog kennel was big enough for the 8 little one we have. That is why I was thinking about a temp pen in the coop. Our grow pen we are using for the girls right now, is to heavy to move next to the big coop, but that maybe what we will have to do. Thank you for the input. If we want some of the water nipple and since we are local, can we come by and pick them up?
