Hi there im new to the chicken world .. I have 3mo old Partridge Plymouth rocks and have roughly 6week old Orpingtons(there is 3 roo's and 1 hen.. The new ones are all pullets). So what my question is. Is 6wks to young to be introduced to the older ones? And how should one go about that and what should I expect to see from the older chicks? Can they hurt the young ones? any helpful tips are appreciated!

It is good to do this gradually. Can the young ones be seen by the older ones without them being able to touch them? 6 weeks was too young for my chicks they got attacked by a Rhode Island Red who was the bottom of the pecking order. I tried again about a month later with some supervision with better luck although they still keep to themselves (2 of them as opposed to 5 other older hens)..

I think im going to try the Play pen idea. Build some type of box so the chickens can see each other but cant touch and hopefully all goes well. Just a lil stressful first time doing this .. Just want everyone to get along which I know takes time?
