I have two groups of chicks, one of them is a rehab with an immobile leg, one of them is much older then the other, will they be okay together? I tried putting them together but they try to start a pecking order and I’m worried they might get hurt. If it changed anything the older ones are two EE, two cinnamon queens and one buff Orpington, the smaller ones are all cuckoo Marans.

How much space do they have? If they have a good amount of space, then I would probably try the 'cluttered run' approach. They are all still pretty little, so I would try that for a few days. If they start to get hurt, then move on to 2 weeks of 'look don't touch'.

Okay, they have quite a bit of space, we fenced off under our trampoline and set them up under there with a kennel, a roost and a hanging feeder. I’m working on toys for them too
