Introducing Rhodey, my 6 wk. old RIR Roo! **PIC**

This is Rhodey everyone! He is a RIR and was six weeks old yesterday. He is the friendliest out of all my RIR's! We can pack him all over and he is always the first one to come to me when I enter the coop. He's a good boy and isn't he so handsome?!?!

How do you know he's a he? He looks like some of my hens who are nearly 2 yrs old...I'm still wondering if I've got a couple roos who haven't learned to crow...big combs, wattles, spurs...

The RIR hens at two years old will have combs, wattles, and possibly spurs. I know that Rhodey is a roo because the roos develop their combs and wattles before the hens do. My 6 wk. old hens combs are still short and pale in color. They also do not have any wattles.
