Introducing rooster to flock

Hi
I want to give my 3 month old silkie rooster to my neighbor who has about 12 hens that are full grown but worried he's too young and they will hurt him. Thoughts? Should she introduce him a certain way or has to wait till he's older ?

I would keep him for about another month before you give him to your neighbor as he may be to young yet to be introduced with adult mature birds

Being that he's a silkie he may need to be a bit older, I would wait until he starts to become sexually mature before trying to introduce him, she could keep him separately within the coop for a while until the hens get used to seeing him, and he starts to show some confidence.
