Introducing Tux - Son of Hawkeye (Pic Heavy)

Couldn't have been a more laid back, sweet rooster,

It's funny you say that Cyn. Tux is the most laid back, sweet rooster I have. He eats out of my hand and never runs when I walk up to him. Genetics is a weird thing!

I put him in the run with two other roosters and neither one even made an attempt to fight with him. Actually he gets along with the other two real well but I don't need to be feeding all these roos... So, a good home came along requesting BR roos so I will move them out and let Tux take over completely.

You should enter him in some of the online poultry contests!

I'll have to research that a bit. I'm not familiar with the online contests. I might take him to the show in Sept just to see what happens. I've never done that either so don't really know what to expect.

Jay, you have a treasure there. I know he'll be loved and appreciated at your place, too. My Hawkeye would sometimes suddenly cock his head and look me right in the eyes, really look at me, and my heart would melt. I was never nervous or afraid around him and when he set the bar, he set it high. That is what any rooster who stays here has to be like or he just doesn't get to stay. Zane does the same eye to eye communication thing and if it's possible, he's even sweeter and more sociable than Hawkeye. Nothing better than a Barred Rock rooster with that temperament, is there? I firmly believe it's genetic.

WOW, he is handsome! He looks like royality to me! Love the contrast between the comb and barring...He is beautiful. Dixie
