We had two white leghorn hens and one was recently taken by a hawk. Our remaining hen wasn't eating or drinking afterwards so we bought a new hen to keep her company. We let them roam freely today and our old hen was chasing the new one around. We have them separated in the run now but i'm worried our old hen is not going to accept the new one. Any advice or experience in what's normal fighting and what's not? Thanks!

Welcome to BYC.
Give her time to get used to the new hen through the wire for a few days. Your survivor was defending her home against a new comer. Give her time to get used to the new bird. There will be some strife when new members are introduced, as long as it doesn't become bloody let them work it out.
