I currently have a 7 yr old Black Rock and a 12 yr old RIR in their own pen but I want to introduce some younger chicks into the coop.
I have three young RIR pullets that I want to introduce into the coop and eventually a white leghorn (when she reaches the proper age), but my two old girls are big bruisers and I'm worried they will injure the young pullets when establishing a pecking order.
My two have been together for about 3 years in their very spacious coop that could easily hold 12.
Have any tips for introducing young chickens to my old girls?
