Introducing young pullets to older hens

My cuurrent older flock consist of 3 production reds, one ameraucanas and one batam rooster, one khaki campbell duck. I have 3 buff orppingtons that are 4-1/2 months old in a separate pin inside the chicken yard where all can see each other. Do you think its too early to let the young hens loose with the older flock?
