Hi! I'm new here too, but I have been researching a lot about "treats" and stuff...the good news is, I have found that if you put a little bit of the starter feed in the palm of your hand, they will think that's a treat!
I have my six trying to fly out of the brooder at me whenever I go over there now, and I've only been doing this for three days. They flock around my hand and take turns standing on it as they peck and peck until there's nothing left.
