Hello every one, I have not been here much in the past few years so I thought an into might be appropriate! My name is KC (really) and I am currently living in southeastern Arizona near the town of Cochise. I used this forum while living in Montana back in 2000-2010 and then moved to AZ. I currently live on a tiny farm (20 acres) and have had Chickens again for the past 5 years. Also have some goats, about 60 fruit trees, berry bushes and table grape vines along with my normal veggie garden. We have been struggling with chicken predators over the years and this past winter was no exception! So far we have fended off mountain lions, bob cats, coatimundis, , coyotes, hawks, eagles, skunks and snakes who all would love to have parts of my livestock! The hen yard is now fully enclosed top/bottom/sides to protect the hens. I do sell eggs to my local community so really need these gals to live! Also have two barn cats, three small white non shedding dogs of the Bichon breed. All of this is a heavy load for one senior gal and thankfully my brother helps out when I yell ( UNCLE) or piss off my back yet again. So that is me!
