That is a great coop~but I especially love those baby chicks!!

That's a great idea on keeping out the sparrows

Our coop is 8x12 and run area is 12x 20 ...... COOP AND RUN are all attached . We put buried wire 12 inches deep around the whole perimeter of coop and run . Great for chickens to be able to run under the coop when it rains . We also put wings that open with hinges on both sides with wire above for ALOT of ventialtion . We close down these wings at night . BUT ventilation above is always available ..... Our nesting boxes are on one wall and roosting area is on totally opposite wall , SO NO POOPING in nest boxes while they are roosting . OUR fllor is covered with pine shavings thru out . Also use the pine shavings in nest boxes . We will be attaching the nesting boxes 18 inches off the floor . AGAIN WELCOME TO BYC .
