So sorry about the bear.

We get them, too, here in our yard (rural Wisconsin). The coop is not penetrable, so they go for every wild bird feeder they can reach. I only put black oil sunflower seeds in them to keep sparrows and junk birds away, but bears like those I found out!

After 5 times, and me chasing them away once with my 20-gauge shooting in the air, I called the DNR (Dept of Natural Resources) who said they have an expert bear relocation team that will capture and move them. If they keep coming back, you could try yours and see.
