Hi everyone, new member in San Diego.
Happy to be here to share ideas and learn more.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got my little flock in early 2020, just before Covid
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 1 rooster, 6 hens and 12 eggs in my incubator
(3) What breeds do you have? RIR, Aracuna, Buff, EE, Whiting True Blue in incubator
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I enjoy watching my flock.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, horseback riding
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Family of 5, 3 kids, 2 horses (Quarter horse and Pas Fino) 2 dogs (Dalmatian and Doberman) a ball python, and a desert tortoise. Enjoy the simple things, cooking, canning, gardening and time with my family and animals.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was doing a google search to find out what the best shape for a perch is, round vs flat.
