(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, I just got them for the first time in May, we got 4, then in July got 4 more. So we have two separate flocks till the little guys get bigger.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8
(3) What breeds do you have?
Two mixed, two New Hampshire Reds, an Olive Egger (who isn't growing) an Ameraucana, a Cream Legbar and a Lavender Orpington.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love animals, and it relaxing to watch them do their thing. Looking forward to homegrown colored eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Outdoorsy stuff, travel... actually kinda busy being a mom right now in this season of life.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Mom of 5, we have two cats, a rat, a pineapple conure and a few goldfish
