Hi everyone! I’m Sunny Flock Raiser! I’m new to BYC! here’s a little about me: 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens about ten years ago. I was too young to care for them then but it was nice being around the chickens. In 2018 my flock of chickens got attacked by a bear. 1 survived. Her name is Chickadee and she’s 8 years old. She is doing amazing. From then on I’ve had such a huge passion for chickens. If that would have never happened I probably wouldn’t have chickens right now!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 11 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 4 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Blue Plymouth Rocks, 3 Ameracaunas, 2 Wyandotte and Ameracauna mixes.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Some of my favorite parts of raising backyard chickens is the responsibility. It’s nice knowing that I have something to wake up for everyday. I also love that I can create bonds with all of my chickens. I don’t have any favorites and I love each and every chicken. It honestly makes me feel so happy caring for chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Some of my other hobbies is running and egg business. I currently only sell locally but I’m hoping to sell hatching eggs in the future. We hatched 4 chicks this year and one of them is a rooster. Honestly he is such a sweet and handsome boy. Another one of my hobbies is drawing! I love to draw pictures in real life as I see them. Although it can be a little tricky to draw chickens, it is so much fun!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two dogs and a cat. The first dog, Molly is a mutt lol! She is mixed with a German Shepard a St Bernard. Such a fun and sweet girl. This December she just turned 9. So she’s getting to be an old gal! 
The other dog, Rocky is also an old man. He is 16 but he is a little tiny dog. He is a little crazy sometimes but I love him. 
I have a little brother and sister and I lwith my mom and dad.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC by looking for care advice for the most happy life for my chickens. I actually just discovered BYC just this year so I’m pretty new. I decided to join because I want to help others that need me!
