Hi! Always googling for information about chickens and Backyard is always the perfect site so I thought I’d join.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I’ve had chickens for about 3 years now.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 3

(3) What breeds do you have? We have a Rhode Island Red, sexling and I think a Black langshan.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Googling

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have a member but forgot my password and could not get in, so I rejoined under the new name. I need help in IDing a hole under my coop. 3 inches in diameter and around 3-4' deep. I have 5 mixed sex link hens. I have also raised Americana, Black Astrolorps, Welsummers.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I don’t think I’ll be getting anymore chickens just yet and I am struggling with my Rhode Island Red being sick right now so I’m checking out some illness threads to see if I can figure this out. Took her to the vet yesterday who prescribed baytril but no changes in behavior today. I’m starting to think it might be sour crop however the crop hasn’t been large or felt impacted but this greenish liquid spews out of her beak if I tilt her to far forward while holding her.
