Hello, I’m fairly new to chickens I started two years ago with 4 Bantams my son gave me. I have wanted a farm since I was a little girl and slowly my dream is coming true. I now have 15 hens of different breeds 3 roosters of different breeds. One rooster is a game one is a Leghorn the other is a Brahma. I love them and and couldn’t decide on what breed I wanted to raise my oldest sone lives with us for a while and his passion is game chickens that’s why I have them. Great protectors and layers I learned as well as mommies. I also have 3 turkeys 2 ducks 3 guinea. I also have about 35 chicks right now Wyandotte and what I thought was Aneraucanas but from this site may be Ee. That’s what brought me to this site I was trying to see if the chicks I have will looke like my other hens. I have two hens I believe are true Americana’s. I love my girls and wanted more so I bought some at a local feed store. Yes it’s hard to tell they all scattered and I have a mix in there of Wyandottes.

Welcome to BYC. Many do not realize that Game roosters are generally the least human aggressive of all roosters. Man fighters were not allowed to survive/breed for evident reasons. Now as to interactions with other roosters, that's another story.

I have two game roosters father and son they will fight each other I have to keep a close eye on them. But they don’t fight my other roosters. They will get after them as a warning when they get near the hens. They are very protective of my hens and even the guinea.
