I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I just got my first chicks this week. We have been talking about it since last summer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 18, and are picking up 6 more on Saturday.
(3) What breeds do you have? We have 6 brahmas, 2 Wyandotte, 2 Rhode island reds, 6 orpington, 2 black sex links and are getting 6 jersey giant .

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? We found the FB group that links to this page.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I like to ride with my husband on his motorcycle, 4 wheelers, snowmobile, cook, garden, fish, and I'm learning to bow hunting and shoot a 420 and 22

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I work at Lowe's, we have a pug, and a albino leopard gecko. My husband works at Remington Arms as a toolmaker.
