Hi
my name is Helen, I live in New Zealand. I have 2 Aracana Hens. One is an old girl and so I saw another up for sale and brought her 4 weeks ago. The new hen came with 11 fertile eggs. I now have 7 very cute wee chicks. I always look to google for advice on my hens and the advice in backyard chickens is always good.
My poor new hen was off the eggs for 5 hours when I first got her she got confused about how to get back. But the advice I read her reassured me. It worked out fine. I have a very cute happy family of hens.
Next weeks I will be introducing the other hen into the mix. Even though they are living side by side now.
