(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

No, I'm not new to chickens, ducks, turkeys and birds in general. My first chicken was actually one we hatched at school and his name was speedy.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

11 hens

(3) What breeds do you have?

Chickens: Barred Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island Red, and Leghorn

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Watching them grow, noticing how different each type will be personality wise, and they generally keep me busy.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening, planting trees, fishing, and kayaking.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Have a dog Norwegian Elkhound named Elijah and 2 strays Wally and Violet, rabbits Cup-Cake and Brownie, 6 ducks, and 10 turkeys.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

Was looking for information on turkey breeds and came across this site. Always learning.
